Building Community, Inspiring Change
Una Vida is a grassroots community organization serving people in Petaluma, California and beyond. Join Una Vida’s mission to build community, share resources, and lovingly serve others.
Feeding the Community
Una Vida fights hunger while reducing food waste by hosting free food distributions with incredible food donated by local farms, individuals, and businesses.
Current Distributions:
Every Saturday starting at 11:30 a.m. until all the food is gone.
Every First and Third Wednesday of the month from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
Clothing the Community
Our Community Closet welcomes people to shop at no cost in our boutique-style clothing store. Clothes and shoes are available in all sizes, from babies to adults.
Winter Update: We are open every Thursday and Saturday with new winter hours of 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Growing for the Community
Use your green thumb to make a difference! How it works: through our partnership with the Deviled Eggery Community Garden Network, local gardeners can share their extra produce with us so we can distribute it to local families in need. It’s that simple.

What Community Members Say:
"Una Vida is such a blessing to the Petaluma (and beyond) community. From bi-monthly food distributions, and clothing drives - the Una Vida team works tirelessly everyday to ensure that help & hope is available to those who need it. The Una Vida team strives to provide quality items- from fresh produce , meat, and diapers. Not only do they provide these essentials to our community, but they offer a multitude of ways to get involved & give back. From high school students to retirees, the volunteers of Una Vida range in age, demographic, and abilities. There is room at Una Vida for everyone.” -Sara Caudill
“Una Vida has been a treasure of my community for decades, and I am honored to witness the kind of impact that it makes. Their food distributions keep growing and have a ton of awesome and locally made or grown food that you’d never expect to see! I know they also give gift cards to unhoused students and host free clothing giveaways too. I’ve even seen various other needs met through by someone making an ask and someone else graciously meeting that need. It is so uplifting to see the positivity that is generated by helping each other out. It just shows how Una Vida is truly committed to helping others. Thank you to everyone involved with this fantastic organization.” - April Lofgren
